Each month, I have the honor of writing my column for the betterment of Deliver the Dream. It’s my job as security guard to make sure that all is well for all of the staff members in our office. It means a great deal to me to share in the comradery of my extended family… the wonderful people who are committed to helping others in need every day.
You may not believe it – but my monthly message is one that I think about quite often. I’m always wondering how my words have the ability to make a difference. Well, this month – I spent a great deal of time snoozing on the lap of Venetia Timm, our grants coordinator. Why? Well, she’s sweet to me (always feeding me treats on the sly) – and I want to show my appreciation by helping her get the job done.
Venetia searches for new grant funding sources everyday… and I’ll be honest… it’s a tough job. There are so many worthy organizations… but I just don’t understand how foundations can say NO to the amazing life changing retreats of Deliver the Dream!
So, my friends, I reach out to all of you. You may just hold the key to helping Venetia! If you know of a Corporate Foundation… a Private Foundation… or a small Family Foundation that she could approach for grant funding to support our retreats… please give her a call! Really! She’ll be extra happy!!!
Here’s hoping my words this month will allow the entire staff to celebrate the new funding opportunities that come from our supporters… our true friends who love and respect the mission of the organization I’ve sworn to protect… Deliver the Dream!
With gratitude and respect… and a big lick,

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED OUR GO FUND ME CAMPAIGN.
In case you haven’t heard, Deliver the Dream is very happy to announce the arrival of our newest family member, Baby Bertha, or as we lovingly call her “BeBe.” She weighs 4,866 lbs. and is 217.8” long. She has a white exterior and black eyes, just like her predecessor, but BeBe is a 2015 Ford Transit, full of spunk and willing to go the extra mile to help our families! We have to send a huge “Thank You” out to the fantastic team at Holman Automotive’s Pompano Ford, who helped make it possible to bring BeBe home with us. She experienced her first retreat in July and is very excited to head to this month's retreat at the FFA Leadership Training Center in Haines City! She loves being a part of the amazing work we do for our families.
We still need your help, though! This was an unexpected expense for Deliver the Dream, but a necessary one. In lieu of oil bottles, exhaust diapers and teething key rings for the arrival of our newest little one, please donate to our campaign to help offset the cost of bringing her into our family. All donations – big or small – are greatly appreciated!
Help get BeBe a beautiful new outfit!
Our bundle of joy will need a new van wrap to display the good work of Deliver the Dream every time we hit the road! Have your company featured on the new wrap with a prominently displayed logo or company name on three sides of the van for a $5,000 or greater donation. Your corporate generosity will be showcased throughout the state of Florida as we travel to our retreat venues. For more information call 954-564-3512.
Natalie Eno was originally involved with Deliver the Dream as a retreat family referral resource through Treasure Coast Early Steps Program, Easter Seals Florida, Inc. After months of referring families to our retreats, we got Natalie to come on a retreat as a participant; her daughter has Autism. Natalie was greatly affected by our program and decided that she should give back by coming back on a retreat as a volunteer. Natalie has since volunteered on 3 retreats! (Family participant on our March 2014 retreat, volunteer on our July 2014, March 2015, and July 2015 retreats.) She has even helped us out at our Denim and Diamonds Gala. Natalie is such an amazing volunteer. Natalie is so great with empathizing with the families. Thank you so much for all you do Natalie!
The Wright-Lopez family from Gainesville (Samantha-mom and Deante-age 16) attended the recent retreat for families who have experienced the death of a loved one. “Spending the weekend with all of you will forever leave a special imprint on our hearts.”
