Dear Friends of Deliver the Dream and Fred’s Security Services,
As you know, I have the best job in the world and love being part of the team at Deliver the Dream. I get to run around… er… patrol the office all day – and play “cute” to get as many snacks as possible.
With that being said, I also believe that the staff works very hard to raise important funds for Deliver the Dream and I would like YOU to help me give back to them. This Thanksgiving, as you look forward to your own personal family traditions, (I look forward to turkey and taking a long nap) I ask that you kindly consider making a year-end, tax-deductible contribution to our family retreat program to give thanks and celebrate the prosperity of your own family .
Deliver the Dream steps in at a time when families need reassurance and a helping hand. We provide a 3-day, 2-night mending experience with up to 15 families who are battling the same illness to share, learn, cry, grow, and conquer their situations together. It’s amazing how the process happens over three days… but it works. Since 2002, we’ve produced more than 144 retreats and have changed the lives of more than 6,700 family members facing serious illness or crisis.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Improv Comedy Night fundraiser with Bob Marley on October 1. It was a hilarious evening!
The Accounting Department at Bluegreen Vacations held several fundraisers throughout the month to raise funds for Deliver the Dream. They then awarded us with a check for $654 to support our family retreat program!! We love the dedication of the employees at Bluegreen and all they do to support our mission – from volunteering on retreats and events, to raising funds, to spreading awareness of the good work we do. THANK YOU!!!
We would like to recognize Aetna as our Volunteers of the Month! Every year since 2012, a group from Aetna comes to volunteer on a Deliver the Dream retreat. They recently sponsored our retreat for families who have a child with cancer, and the fourteen volunteers who came on this retreat did a fantastic job! This group took time away from their work and their own families to help other families heal. They were very enthusiastic and compassionate toward our families. We are truly appreciative of all of the support Aetna has shown for our organization. We are especially thankful for Michelle Johnson, who organizes these wonderful groups of volunteers to come on the retreats. We look forward to many more retreats with Aetna!

Deliver the Dream has a wonderful new supporter, Gordon Tredgold, author, speaker, consultant, coach and leadership expert! On Oct. 20, he held a launch party for his newest book, FAST – 4 Principles Every Business Needs To Achieve Results And Drive Success, at Florida Atlantic University’s Tech Runway. We had the opportunity to address his audience and tell them about the good work DTD does in the community and, to top things off, he donated proceeds from his book sales from the evening to DTD – amounting in $300! We are so grateful for his support and we look forward to having him and his wife, Carine, volunteer on a retreat soon. Thank you Gordon!
